PREFIXES
The prefix dyn or dyna means "power". Perhaps, you recognize the word dynamite.
The prefix hyper means “over” or "above". Children suffering from ADD are sometimes hyperactive.
The prefix hypo means “below”. You may have had the displeasure of being on the wrong end of a hypodermic needle.
The prefix mega means “great” or “million”. Can you visualize what a megaphone might be?
ROOTS
The root anima means “soul” or "life". Do you like Japanese anime or animation?
The root arm means “weapon”. No doubt you can grasp why an army is so named.
The root flu and its variant flux means "flow". I hope that you will someday be fluent in the English language.
SUFFIXES
The suffix ary and its variants ery and ory means “relating” or "place where". So, an aviary is a place where birds are kept.
